Rockin' the Helmet - COMPLETE

As many of you know, CB has been rockin' a helmet for the past few months in order to help correct a flat spot on the back of his head.

CB at the Orthopedic Office.
He's been wearing the helmet 23 hours a day and has been such a trooper in deaing with it. He's been visiting the orthopedic specialist regularly to see how the helmet has been working and each time has to put on a do-rag to get his head lasered to check if the skull is correcting itself.

CB in his do-rag - "Bad to the Bone"

Last month, we heard good news. After two months of wearing the helmet, he was able to go down to wearing it during only naps and night time for the last month. But the best news was when we went to the cranial doctor this past week for his "final" check-up.  The doctor came in, took one quick look at CB and said, "He looks great and doesn't need his helmet anymore." Oh, music to my ears!

And we have one happy baby on our hands now too. Helmet free and learning how to protect his head when rolling around, CB's loving the new experience of not having to have something on his head constantly - or the fact that he doesn't have to get his hair washed once a day anymore.

CB at his final Dr. appointment. He loves the paper on the exam table.
