Has it already been two months since CB was born!?!
Time passes too quickly with our little man, and he continues to keep surprising us with the things he discovers each day. Whether it's rubbing his eyes (yes, he's finding his hands), being enraptured by his mobile (or ceiling fan strings - same idea, right?), or dancing (kicking and moving) in his bouncy chair as his mommy dances to music while cooking, he's growing up way too quickly!
The best development this month was his willingness to humor his mom and dad by smiling and cooing at our funny voices and silly faces. Though he technically started smiling about 3 weeks ago, we love hearing his little voice coo when he gets super excited.
His two month doctor visit definitely didn't leave him smiling like usual, since he had to get some fun shots. Though the appointment was traumatic (I've never seen someone turn that color purple from crying before), we had a lot of great news from that visit. First of all, CB now weighs 9 lbs 12 oz (compared to his 5 lbs 13 oz birth weight) and is a little over 22 inches long. He's still small for his age, but his growth rate is great.
Secondly, after some crazy battles with acid reflux over the past few weeks, the doctor encouraged us to try a prescription antacid to help CB eat and feel better and it's working great already. But the best news of all is that the doctor gave CB the go-ahead to try sleeping through the night, rather than still being fed every 3-4 hours. CB's a great sleeper so we're (mostly mommy) looking forward to seeing how well he does making the transition to longer nights in bed.
If only time could stand still as I soak up every moment I can with our little man. Next thing you know he'll be crawling...walking...talking... Ahhh... slow him down!
