I miss hiking. Hubby and I use to trek around the mountains 2-3 times a week before CB joined us. This summer we've been preoccupied with yard work, friends, work/school and of course, CB. And I'm not complaining. CB's way better than any mountain. But it hit us that we're almost half way through the summer and we had hardly taken the chance to introduce CB to his parent's favorite hobby (though the massive amounts of snow still on the mountains hasn't helped either).
This past week, we made a conscious effort to get on the trail. CB loves being outside and was thrilled to feel the wind across his face and see the rushing water in the nearby streams. We did learn that CB has about a 45-minute limit in the Baby Bjorn - but who can blame him!?! 90 degree whether in a baby carrier doesn't sound much fun to me either.
Even though it wasn't as long as we've hiked in the past, getting back to nature felt like coming home again.
| Hubby always has his pic taken next to the trail head sign. CB's continuing the tradition. |

| We even experienced Charlie's first deer sighting |
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. - Isaiah 55:12
