We're super fortunate to have all our immediate family living within a 4 hour drive of each other right now. This meant that we could travel to one location for Christmas and see most everyone, including some of our dear friends.
The disadvantage - we had to go to the Arctic in order to do so. I might be exaggerating a little about Minnesota's physical location, but the makings of the Arctic are all present in this northern state. It snowed, was windy and was cold (it got below 0 degrees at one point).
But we weren't there for the weather. We were there for the great company of our family and friends and making a ton of memories. We ate at Fuddruckers, Panera and Caribou Coffee more than once each (are you surprised?), we went swimming in a hotel pool, played with a lot of new toys that we don't have at our house, got spoiled with gifts from family and were influenced (positively) by older cousins.

We had a wonderful time in the Arctic and a lovely Christmas. We hope you had a great Christmas too.
Happy New Year!
